The Declaration of Independence Film Festival will be screening many of its features, documentaries and shorts, as well as hosting events, at The Horse Hospital. This is a unique alternative arts museum and gallery in London which has been providing a space for underground and avantgarde media since 1993.
Built in 1797, The Horse Hospital is a unique listed venue situated in unspoilt mews in the heart of Bloomsbury. With many of its original features such as entrance by horse ramp, tethering rings, cast iron pillars and an amazing cobbled floor.
Unfortunately horses are no longer permitted.
All screenings and events at the Horse Hospital are in conjuction with the current photographic art exhibition Visual Athletics Club by Edward Barber. Any ticket purchased admits one to the exhibition, and the relevant screening or event as per our programme.
The Horse Hospital is approximately 250 metres from the Renoir – transport information is the same.
